The Cooling Tricks You Were Looking For
Do you know why heat is dangerous? Here are some of the risks we take unless we fight it:
– Heat stroke: when the body temperature rises a lot we can have problems such as headaches, dry mouth and rising pulsations.
– Exhaustion: with heat we can feel weakness, dizziness or even faint because of the energy that takes away from enduring too much temperature for too long.
It’s always good to know a few tricks to cool off and fight the annoying heat. We’ll tell you all about it if you keep reading!
Whenever you can, head to the beach or the swimming pool
In the hottest hours, a good option may be to soak. If you can, go to the swimming pool or the beach so you can spend a good time in the water and so you don’t swelter so much. It’s important that in the harshest hours of the day you try to avoid being under the direct sun.
With cold drinks, always
Cold drinks are going to be your greatest allies during the higher temperatures season. If you are going to have a barbecue or a picnic, we recommend that you put your drinks in ice (by the way, our metal bucket comes in so handy) so that they stay fresh and tasty. Always carry water and hydrate yourself, and as a plus: a very cold TGC with friends is the best to combat the heat. You can choose between flavours such as peach or strawberry. Ideal for the summer!
Avoid very dark colours
If you know you’re going to be outside all day, avoid very dark colours such as black, brown, or gray. Why? These colours absorb the temperature, which ends up reaching our body. It’s best not to wear them on the hottest days.
Protect your head
A lot of heat enters through the head and, in fact, it is not good to expose it to the sun for too long. In order to avoid this, we recommend that you always have a cap or a hat handy so that it doesn’t hit you directly. Will you be the trendiest person on the beach?
Do not shower with cold water
I know, it’s very tempting. But… you should never shower in cold water. With it you will only get a very abrupt change in temperature that could create stomach cramps.
Now that you know some tricks to combat the heat of the summer, remember that the important thing during this season is to stay hydrated with cold drinks and spend as much time as possible in cool and pleasant places. Which is the one for you? Tell us about it in the comments bellow.
